Alphonse Resort is located on the Alphonse Island which is 7 degrees south of the Equator and 400kms south west of Mahe in the very heart of the Indian Ocean. It was discovered in 1730 by the Chevalier Alphonse di Pontevez who was in command of the French frigate, Le Lys, Alphonse was generally used to cultivate coconuts and various other crops until the late 1990's when this spectacular place was developed into a resort.

Alphonse Resort has twenty double units, each with its own breathtaking views of the lagoon. The bungalows are situated in neatly maintained gardens and each have thatched roofing and a sea-facing veranda. They are equipped with air-conditioning, a direct access telephone system, a television, minibar, queen sized bed (twin beds can be arranged on request), a lovely spacious en-suite bathroom with a jacuzzi-style bath, an outside shower, ceiling fan and a mosquito net.
The Alphonse Resort creates the most delicious very best traditional Creole creations. There is also a dazzling choice on offer during certain evenings of the week (weather permitting) where you can enjoy theme evenings such as Creole Cuisine Special, Seafood Buffet and Beach Barbecues. At Le Lys Bar you can enjoy a pre-dinner refreshment will waiting for the perfect time to dig in to that special meal.
Alphonse Island is full of exciting activities for the entire family to enjoy side by side, such as fly fishing for Bonefish, three different types of Trigger fish, eight species of Trevally, Groupers, African pompano, Snappers, Parrot fish and Milk fish or snorkeling in the crystal clear waters, leisurely sightseeing trips on the lagoon with the pedal boats, going on the reef walks where you can get up close and personal with the stingrays and juvenile lemon sharks, enjoying the nature walks, playing a game of tennis or venturing into the games room.
